Optical Technician

QuEra

QuEra Computing is seeking an experienced optical technician to build optical systems or optical modules. You will work closely with a team of hardware and software engineers to assemble and test various optical systems that are critical to our neutral-atom quantum computers. Our teams are project-based and you will be responsible for driving progress and controlling qualities. Candidates should display a deep interest in developing and commercializing quantum technologies, and be self-motivated in a collaborative working environment.

To be successful in this role, we believe candidates should have:

> 5-year experience in an optical laboratory or equivalent industry experience
strong hands-on laboratory skills including the capability of handling a variety of free-space optics and fiber optics, laser operation, basic knowledge of machining and electrical circuits
rich experience of using measurement&test instruments such as oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers, RF spectrum analyzers, laser-beam-profile cameras, optical power meters, …
excellent communication skills, including highest ability to explain assembly procedure, test methods and results and so on
excellent documentation skills
Preferred qualifications include:

Familiarity with Python, Autodesk inventor, Zemax, CNC machining, ultra-high vacuum systems, etc.
