Based on technology developed at MIT and Harvard, we are building scalable quantum computers to tackle useful but classically intractable problems in optimization, materials science, pharmaceuticals, and more. Our 256-qubit quantum computing service was launched on Amazon Braket in 2022, and we are continuing to grow our team of multidisciplinary inventors at all levels.

We are seeking two (2) highly motivated and skilled AMO Physicists to join our dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of neutral-atom based quantum computing technologies. You will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and characterization of neutral-atom quantum computing systems. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists to push the boundaries of quantum computing using neutral-atom platforms.

Your responsibilities will include

Designing and building state-of-the-art neutral atom quantum computers.
Developing innovative techniques for high-fidelity qubit control and manipulation.
Investigating sources of noise and decoherence and proposing mitigation strategies.
Analyzing experimental data and drawing meaningful conclusions to guide system improvements.
Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AMO physics and quantum computing.
Required qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Physics or a related field, with a focus on Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics.
Proven experience working with neutral atoms, trapped ions or other quantum systems.
Proficiency in designing, building, and troubleshooting complex experimental setups.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, a self-starting, inventive attitude towards problem-solving.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred qualifications

Proficient programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
Track record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
Hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms and technologies.
