Aliro is developing foundational technologies in Quantum Networking and Communications. We are looking for experienced engineers who want to make critical and ambitious contributions to this exciting new field. Your role will have a particular focus on Django server side REST API development, as well as integration with network management systems. Successful applicants will be creative, thoughtful, and display a fearless approach to problem solving. At least one year of full time professional backend web development experience, or equivalent open source contributions, is required. Django experience is preferred. We are also looking for candidates with experience integrating web backends with other complex systems; these may include network management systems, infrastructure systems, data science systems, etc. GitHub contributions or other publicly available work is a huge plus. Quantum experience is not necessary! (But an interest in quantum helps.).
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with teammates to build software for orchestrating quantum networking experiments and quantum network management.
Implement database models and REST APIs using Django.
Integrate the Django backend with device drivers, NETCONF interfaces, and other network management technologies.
Write automated tests using pytest.
Solve problems related to web backend optimization and network data modeling.
Be an integral part of defining the next generation of quantum infrastructure and technology as you build the tools to make the quantum network a reality.
Required Background
At least one year of full time professional backend web development experience, or equivalent open source contributions
Experience integrating web backends with other systems
Demonstrated creative problem solving ability
Comfortable working in a new field from a ‘blank sheet of paper’.
Good communication and collaboration skills
